Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026. This privacy policy describes which personal data we process when operating this website. It is deliberately tailored to the technology actually in use: this website is a static site without any analytics, tracking or advertising tools.

1. Overview

General Information

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally. For detailed information, please refer to the further sections of this privacy policy.

Who is responsible for data collection on this website?

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator (Social Cooks GmbH). You can find their contact details in the section "Information on the Responsible Party" and in the legal notice of this website.

How do we collect your data?

Your data is collected in part when you provide it to us — for example, details you enter in our contact form or the account-check form. Other data is collected automatically when you visit the website, by the IT systems of our hosting provider. This is mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system, IP address or the time of the page request) in server log files.

What do we use your data for?

Part of the data is collected to ensure the error-free and secure provision of the website. The data you submit via forms is used solely to process your enquiry and to get in touch with you.

What rights do you have regarding your data?

You have the right to receive information about the origin, recipient and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to request the correction or deletion of this data. If you have given consent, you may revoke it at any time for the future. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions about data protection. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless audience measurement)

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Cloudflare Web Analytics uses neither cookies nor localStorage, performs no fingerprinting and creates no usage profiles; no personal identifiers are stored. Only aggregated metrics are collected, such as page views, referrers, load times and browser/device type. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in reach-based optimisation of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR); no consent is required as no information is accessed on your device within the meaning of Sec. 25 TDDDG. Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified. More information: https://www.cloudflare.com/web-analytics/

Beyond this, the website does not use any web analytics, tracking or advertising services. In particular, it does not include Google Analytics, Google Ads or conversion tracking, the Facebook/Meta pixel, Google reCAPTCHA or any remarketing tools. No cross-device tracking takes place.

2. Hosting

Cloudflare Pages

We host this website with Cloudflare. The provider is Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hereinafter "Cloudflare"). When you visit our website, your data (in particular the technical access data in the server log files, see below) is processed on Cloudflare's servers in order to deliver the website securely, quickly and reliably.

The use of Cloudflare is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as securely, stably and efficiently as possible. This may involve the transfer of personal data to third countries (in particular the USA). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with Cloudflare; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses serve as appropriate safeguards for the transfer of data to the USA. Further information can be found in Cloudflare's privacy policy at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

3. General Information and Mandatory Notes

Data Protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. We point out that data transmission over the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) can have security gaps. Complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.

Information on the Responsible Party

The party responsible for data processing on this website is: Social Cooks GmbH, Nederlinger Str. 19, DE-80638 Munich, Germany. Email: hello@socialcooks.com, phone: +49 171 9400497. The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

Storage Period

Unless a more specific storage period has been stated within this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for the data processing no longer applies. If you assert a justified request for deletion or revoke consent, your data will be deleted, unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion takes place once these reasons no longer apply.

Revocation of Your Consent to Data Processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke consent you have already given at any time. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to Object to Data Collection in Special Cases (Art. 21 GDPR)

If data processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data concerned unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves to assert, exercise or defend legal claims.

Right to Lodge a Complaint with the Competent Supervisory Authority

In the event of breaches of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, place of work or the place of the alleged breach. This right to complain exists without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right to Data Portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done where technically feasible.

Information, Correction and Deletion

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. You can contact us at any time regarding this and other questions on the subject of personal data.

Right to Restriction of Processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. This right exists in particular in the cases set out in Art. 18 GDPR, for example if you contest the accuracy of your data, the processing is unlawful, we no longer need the data, or you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR.

SSL / TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as enquiries you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Objection to Advertising Emails

We hereby object to the use of contact data published within the scope of the legal notice obligation for sending advertising and information material that has not been expressly requested. The operators of the pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies and Browser Storage (localStorage)

This website does not use any tracking or advertising cookies. To operate the site, we use only technically necessary information that is stored locally in your browser (via so-called localStorage). This consists of: your cookie or consent decision, your choice of display (light or dark theme) and a note as to whether you have already dismissed the suggestion regarding the language version.

This information remains exclusively in your browser, is not transmitted to us or to third parties and serves solely the technical provision and your preferred display of the website. You can delete this data at any time via your browser settings. The legal basis for this strictly necessary storage is Section 25 (2) TDDDG (formerly TTDSG) and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a technically error-free and user-friendly provision).

Consent Management Tool

This website uses its own cookieless consent tool (consent banner) to obtain consent for the integration of certain external services and to document your choice. Your decision is stored locally in your browser. External services that require consent (in particular booking an appointment via Calendly, see below) are only loaded after you have agreed. You can change or revoke your settings at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of the website. Storage is based on Art. 6 (1) (c) and (f) GDPR; we are legally obliged and have a legitimate interest in obtaining and documenting consent.

Server Log Files

The host of the pages (Cloudflare, see section "Hosting") automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits. These are: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection of this data is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and security of its website. This data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the stated purposes.

5. Forms, Contact and CRM

Contact Form and Account Check

If you send us enquiries via our contact form or the account-check form, the information you provide in the respective form, including the contact details you enter there (in particular name, email address, where applicable telephone number and company, as well as your message or the details from the account check), is stored by us and in our CRM system (see below) for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass this data on to uninvolved third parties without your consent.

The processing of the data entered in the forms is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and on our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry and carrying out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR). The data you enter remains with us until you ask us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your enquiry has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.

Enquiry by Email or Phone

If you contact us by email or phone, your enquiry, including all resulting personal data (name, enquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. Where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures, the legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR; in all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of the enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) where this has been requested.

Spam Protection with Cloudflare Turnstile

To protect our forms against abuse and automated requests, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, a service provided by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Turnstile evaluates technical browser signals (such as device-related characteristics and interaction patterns) in the background to distinguish humans from bots – without picture puzzles and without advertising-related tracking; no cookies are set for advertising purposes. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting against abusive requests and in the security of our systems (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where data is transferred to the USA, this is based on the EU Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM) via Pipedrive

To process and manage your enquiries via our forms (contact form and account check), we use the CRM system Pipedrive provided by Pipedrive OÜ, Mustamäe tee 3a, 10615 Tallinn, Estonia. When you submit a form, the data you enter is stored in Pipedrive in order to process your enquiry, enable follow-up questions and organise further communication. The legal basis for the processing is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in the efficient handling of your enquiry and the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR).

A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR exists with Pipedrive, which ensures the protection of your data. The processing takes place on the provider's servers; this may involve a transfer to third countries (e.g. the USA), for which appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses are in place. Your data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the stated purposes and no legal retention obligations conflict with deletion. Further information can be found in Pipedrive's privacy policy at https://www.pipedrive.com/en/privacy.

6. Appointment Booking

Appointment Scheduling via Calendly

To arrange appointments or consultations, we offer the option of booking an appointment via the Calendly service. The provider is Calendly LLC, 271 17th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30363, USA. Calendly is not loaded automatically on our website: the service is only integrated after you have expressly consented via our consent banner (a so-called two-click / click-to-load solution). Only then are connection data (including your IP address) and the data you enter in the booking form transmitted to and processed by Calendly in order to carry out the appointment booking.

The processing is based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can revoke at any time with effect for the future. Using Calendly may involve the transfer of personal data to the USA; the EU Standard Contractual Clauses serve as an appropriate safeguard. Further information can be found in Calendly's privacy policy at https://calendly.com/privacy.

7. Fonts

Locally Hosted Fonts

To display fonts consistently, this website uses locally hosted web fonts that are delivered from our own server or via our host when the page is loaded. No fonts are loaded from external services such as Google Fonts and no data is transferred to third parties for this purpose.
